Biography
Don Reed was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Crown Dick" (PBS, 1986-87) and "Showtime Presents: The Aspen Comedy Festival" (Showtime, 1988-89). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "The Cosby Show" (NBC, 1984-1992) and "A Different World" (NBC, 1987-1993). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Dream On" (HBO, 1990-96). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Playing the Nutroll: Robert Townsend & His Partners in Crime IV" (HBO, 1989-1990) and "The Sports Comedy Network" (CBS, 1989-1990). He also lent his voice to the animated feature "Once Upon a Forest" (1993) with Michael Crawford. Reed took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the Robert Townsend dramatic adventure "The Meteor Man" (1993) and the Mark Christopher Lawrence comedy "Fear of A Black Hat" (1994). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Townsend Television" (Fox, 1993-94). Reed's distinctive voice can be heard on "Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?" (Fox, 1993-98). Most recently, Reed voiced characters in "2 Broke Girls" (CBS, 2011-).
