He then acted in "Isis" (1975-78), "Kingston: The Power Play" (NBC, 1976-77) and the comedy "A Piece of the Action" (1977) with Sidney Poitier. He also appeared in "Roots: The Next Generations" (1978-79). Later in his career, Reed appeared in "A Matter of Life and Death" (CBS, 1980-81).
