Early in his entertainment career, Rawsthorne's music was featured in films like the historical feature "Saraband For Dead Lovers" (1948) with Stewart Granger and the James Mason drama "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" (1951). His music was also used in "Lease of Life" (1954) and "West of Zanzibar" (1955). Later in his career, Rawsthorne worked on the action flick "Floods of Fear" (1958) with Howard Keel. Rawsthorne passed away in July 1971 at the age of 66.
