Ahmad Rashad carved out a career in television specials and movies. In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Rashad held acting roles in films like the adventure "Best of the Best" (1989) with Eric Roberts. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "SportsWorld Looks at Sports Humor" (NBC, 1985-86) and "Super Night at the Super Bowl" (CBS, 1986-87). Following that project, Rashad worked on the television programs "To Tell the Truth" (NBC, 1990-91) and "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" (PBS, 1991-98). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Voices That Care" (Fox, 1990-91) and "Rock N' Jock Hoops" (MTV, 1991-92). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Rashad lent his talents to projects like "Peak Performance" (TLC, 1995-96), "Super Bowl XXX" (NBC, 1995-96) and "Real TV" (1996-2001). His credits also expanded to "Celebrity Mole Hawaii" (ABC, 2002-03). Rashad most recently worked on "NBA Access with Ahmad Rashad" (2006-08). Rashad was married to Sale Johnson.
