Biography
Hermann Prey was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Prey began his entertainment career acting in films like "The Barber of Seville" (1973). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Bach B Minor Mass" (PBS, 1973-74) and "The Marriage of Figaro" (PBS, 1977-78). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Gala of Stars 1986" (1985-86), "Hansel und Gretel" (PBS, 1986-87) and "The Night of Music: A Global Celebration" (PBS, 1986-87). He also appeared in "Panasonic Presents: 25th Anniversary Gala at the Met" (1991-92). Prey also created music for the Walter Matthau comedy "Hopscotch" (1980). Prey more recently worked on "The Metropolitan Opera Silver Anniversary" (PBS, 1991-92).
