Virginian, The (1946) -- (Movie Clip) Free Country Following some prologue back home in Vermont, teacher Molly (Barbara Britton) arrives in Wyoming, meeting cowboy Steve (Sonny Tufts), his best pal and title character (Joel McCrea), plus the villain Trampas (Brian Donlevy), early in Paramount's 1946 version of The Virginian.
