Biography
Udana Power was an actress most commonly known for her memorable roles in television. Power began her acting career with roles in the series "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" (ABC, 1974-75) and "Loves Me, Loves Me Not" (CBS, 1976-77). She had a part on the television special "Barney and Me" (NBC, 1972-73). She also appeared in the TV movie "A Very Missing Person" (ABC, 1971-72). In the seventies and the eighties, she shifted her entertainment career towards more dramatic roles, appearing on "The Life and Times of Eddie Roberts" (1979-1980) and "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Portrait of a Stripper" (CBS, 1979-1980). She also lent her voice to "The Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour" (NBC, 1977-78). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles on "Empty Nest" (NBC, 1988-1995) and "Life Goes On" (ABC, 1989-1993). She also was featured in the TV movie "Cast the First Stone" (NBC, 1989-1990). She also lent her distinctive voice to "Frozen Assets" (1992) with Shelley Long. Power more recently wrote the Kim Dawson comedic adaptation "The Voyeur" (1995).
