Jo Ann Pflug

Biography
Long before the Hollywood big-budget movie versions of "The Fantastic Four" comic, there was a 1967-69 animated TV series version, with Jo Ann Pflug providing the voice of Susan "Storm" Richards alongside the voices of Gerald Mohr, Paul Frees, and Jack Flounders. Pflug's other big TV series role came two decades later, on the 1981-1982 (first) season of the Lee Majors action drama "The Fall Guy." As is the case with many actors, Pflug is also famous for some of the roles she turned down. She passed on both the Bonnie Franklin mom part in "One Day at a Time" and the Valerie Perrine supporting role in the 1972 film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five." She later walked away from her Hollywood career in favor of a new life as a born-again Christian and leader of motivational seminars. She is also remembered fondly for her 10-episode turn as Lieutenant Katherine O'Hara on the 1977-1979 submarine set comedy series "Operation Petticoat" and for a similar turn as Lieutenant Dish in the Robert Altman 1970 classic war commentary, "MASH."
