Biography

Susan Peretz was a prolific actress who created a name for herself largely on the big screen. In the early stages of her Hollywood career, Peretz acted in comedies like "Hurry Up, or I'll Be 30" (1973) and "Melvin and Howard" (1980). She also appeared in the TV movie "In the Custody of Strangers" (ABC, 1981-82). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "A.E.S. Hudson Street" (ABC, 1977-78). She kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the Goldie Hawn dramedy "Swing Shift" (1984) and the Danny DeVito comedy "The Ratings Game" (1984). She also starred in the TV movies "Carpool" (CBS, 1983-84) and "Scandal Sheet" (ABC, 1984-85). During the latter half of her career, she continued to act in "Retribution" (1987), the drama "Sing" (1989) with Lorraine Bracco and the Gene Hackman dramatic comedy "Loose Cannons" (1990). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Babes" (Fox, 1990-91). Most recently, Peretz acted on "My Wife and Kids" (ABC, 2000-05).
