Biography

Veteran television actor Marc Alaimo is best known for playing villainous roles including on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." He attended Marquette University where he joined a theater company and soon after moved to New York City to pursue a professional career. Throughout his career Alaimo appeared on numerous shows, often appearing as a villain. His television debut came in a recurring role on the soap opera "Somerset" after which he appeared on numerous series. Alaimo made his feature debut in 1976 appearing in the film "Dr. Black, Mr. Hyde" after which he worked on "The Last Starfighter" and "Seems Like Old Times." Alaimo had a recurring role on "Hill Street Blues," as Gene Scapizzi, from 1985 through 1987. Later that same year he appeared in a recurring role on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and in 1989 he appeared in the Kurt Russell film "Tango & Cash." A year later appeared in the sci-fi classic "Total Recall" and later returned to the "Star Trek" franchise, joining "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" in 1993. Alaimo appeared as Gul Dukat for 35 episodes from 1993 to 1999. While working on the series he appeared in the film "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult."
