Biography
Marnette Patterson is most recognizable from her role as Christy Jenkins on the fantasy drama "Charmed." Christy is the older sister of Billie, an apprentice witch (played by Kaley Cuoco) and ally of the show's central witches, the Charmed Ones. Christy, however, is working for the villains of the show, and simply uses Billie to get to the Charmed Ones. Early in Patterson's career, she lent her voice to Peanuts/Charlie Brown character Lucy Van Pelt in two different Charlie Brown specials. Also in the early 1990s, she appeared in "Camp Nowhere," a film about a group of kids who invent their own summer camp, playing the crush object of the main character. A few years later, Patterson costarred as Harry Hamlin's daughter from a previous marriage in the sitcom "Movie Stars," about an actor and actress raising their children in Hollywood; Patterson was the down-to-earth contrast to her half-siblings, who were named Moonglow and Apache. In 2006, Patterson played the love interest, Brady, in "Pope Dreams," about a boy, Andy, who wants to find a way for his dying mother to meet the Pope. Brady helps Andy gain a better understanding of the different ways in which people live out their life dreams as best they can, thereby allowing Andy to cope better with the reality of his mother's impending death. In "Starship Troopers 3: Marauder," the third installment in the action-packed sci-fi "Starship Troopers" film series, Patterson played Holly Little, a religious flight attendant and one of the last victims alive from an alien attack on a frontier planet.
