Laura Owens was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She also was featured in the miniseries "Baby M" (1987-88). She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Letting Go" (1984-85), "Tonight's the Night" (ABC, 1986-87) and "Side By Side" (CBS, 1987-88). She also appeared in "To Heal a Nation" (NBC, 1987-88). In the early stages of her Hollywood career, Owens held acting roles in films like "Perfect" (1985) with John Travolta. She also starred in the TV movies "Tricks of the Trade" (1988-89), "Unspeakable Acts" (ABC, 1989-1990) and "The Dreamer of Oz: The L. Frank Baum Story" (NBC, 1990-91). She also appeared in "Not in My Family" (ABC, 1992-93). During these years, she additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the horror sequel "Child's Play 3" (1991) with Justin Whalin. She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Beverly Hills 90210" (Fox, 1990-2000).
