Geoffrey Owens is most widely recognized for playing Elvin Tibideaux on the phenomenally popular NBC family sitcom "The Cosby Show." He has worked on an impressive number of TV shows, including "Built to Last," "Law & Order," and "Boston Legal," along with many others. Owens' work can also be seen in several highly acclaimed films. He played Lou in Ron Howard's "The Paper," also starring Michael Keaton, Glenn Close, and Robert Duvall. Owens took on the role of Marty in Byron W. Thompson's dramatic thriller "Stonebrook," with Seth Green and Brad Rowe. Another of his noteworthy performances is in Marc Fienberg's "Play the Game," which stars Andy Griffith and Doris Roberts; the film is a light-hearted romantic comedy about a womanizer who tries to help his widowed grandfather find love again, while he manages to find it for himself as well.
