Biography
Humberto Ortiz was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Ortiz's career began by acting in comedies like "Three Amigos!" (1986) with Chevy Chase and Steve Martin and "Born in East L.A." (1987) with Cheech Marin and Daniel Stern. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "L.A. Law" (NBC, 1986-1994) and "Marblehead Manor" (NBC, 1987-88). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the Richard Hatch action film "Ghettoblaster" (1989) and the John Ritter comedy "Problem Child" (1990). He also appeared in the TV special "Sweet 15" (PBS, 1989-1990). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Return to Green Acres" (CBS, 1989-1990). More recently, he tackled roles in the Tim Thomerson fantasy "Dollman" (1991), "Kickboxer 2" (1991) with Sasha Mitchell and "Arcade" (1993). Ortiz more recently acted on "The John Larroquette Show" (NBC, 1993-97).
