Biography
To Broadway fans, Michael O'Hare will be forever remembered as the original Colonel Jessep in "A Few Good Men," before Jack Nicholson made the role his own. And to regular viewers of "Babylon 5," his name is instantly synonymous with the role of Commander Jeffrey Sinclair. Some never forgave him for leaving the series after just a 1994-'96 run, but evidently matters other than acting took priority for O'Hare, who has since that time done very little on-camera work, except for a return performance as the Commander in the '98 TV movie "Babylon 5: In the Beginning." O'Hare was actually only a regular on the space station-set drama in the first season. In the two that followed, he dropped back in occasionally as a guest star. Although his departure occurred before the real onset of the Internet, fan feedback did definitely play a role in Warner Bros. TV bringing him back for the '98 movie, one of six in total generated by the show, along with a '99 follow-up series, "Crusade."
