Biography

Tanya Berezin was an accomplished actress who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Berezin started her entertainment career by acting in comedies like "Girlfriends" (1978) with Melanie Mayron and Eli Wallach and "Compromising Positions" (1985) starring Susan Sarandon. She had a part on the television special "The Mound Builders" (PBS, 1975-76). She continued to act in productions like the Patrick Cassidy drama "Longtime Companion" (1990), the Elizabeth Perkins dramatic comedy "He Said, She Said" (1991) and the comedy "Dead Funny" (1995) with Elizabeth Peña. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). She shifted from film to television work through the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999-), "Crossing Jordan" (NBC, 2001-07) and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011). Berezin most recently worked on the Brandon Routh blockbuster action film "Superman Returns" (2006).
