Biography
John O'Connell was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Street Killing" (ABC, 1976-77) and "The Triangle Factory Fire Scandal" (NBC, 1978-79). Following that project, O'Connell worked on the television programs "L.A. Law" (NBC, 1986-1994) and "Married... With Children" (Fox, 1986-1997). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Problem Child" (1990) with John Ritter. O'Connell had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties and the early 2000s, including "Return to Paradise" with Vince Vaughn (1998), "100 Centre Street" (A&E Network, 2000-02) and "102 Dalmatians" (2000) starring Glenn Close. His credits also expanded to "Just Visiting" with Jean Reno (2001) and the Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight smash hit "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001). Most recently, O'Connell acted in the comedy adaptation "Shall We Dance?" (2004) with Richard Gere.
