Actor John Bennett was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. Bennett's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "The Pirates of Blood River" (1961) with Christopher Lee, "Kaleidoscope" (1966) with Warren Beatty and the Alec Guinness biopic "Hitler: The Last Ten Days" (1973). He also appeared in "The True Story of Eskimo Nell" (1974) and "Mohammad Messenger of God" (1976) with Anthony Quinn. His film career continued throughout the seventies and the eighties in productions like the Angela Lansbury mystery "The Mirror Crack'd" (1980), the Donald Sutherland spy picture "Eye of the Needle" (1981) and the musical "Give My Regards to Broad Street" (1984) with Sir Paul McCartney. He also lent his voice to the John Hurt animated movie "Watership Down" (1978). Recently, he continued to act in the drama "Priest" (1995) with Linus Roache and "The Fifth Element" (1997). He also was featured in the TV movie "Prisoner of Honor" (HBO, 1991-92). Most recently, Bennett acted in the Tom Cruise blockbuster sci-fi picture "Minority Report" (2002).
