Biography
Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Michael Nader was born in 1945 and is of Lebanese descent. He studied at New York's Actors Studio and Herbert Berghof Studio before landing early work on the TV family comedy "Gidget," which starred a young Sally Field, and the Frankie and Annette beach party movies including the classic "Beach Blanket Bingo." Coincidentally enough, this is where he first worked with Linda Evans, whom he would later appear with on "Dynasty." He landed the part of Dex Dexter, the third husband of Joan Collins's Alexis Colby on popular primetime soap opera "Dynasty" in 1983. He remained on the show until 1989 while intermittently doing unmemorable TV movies. In 1991, he joined the cast of the long-running daytime soap "All My Children" as Dimitri Marick. He played the part for ten years, during which he was arrested on both drunk driving and drug possession charges. He finished rehab but did not work again until much later in the decade when he appeared on the television crimes dramas " Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Cold Case."
