Mohner started off his career in film with roles in "Rififi" (1954), "The Last Bridge" (1957) and the drama "Behind the Mask" (1958) with Michael Redgrave. Mohner made film his next project, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "He Who Must Die" (1958) with Pierre Vaneck, "The Camp on Blood Island" (1958) and the Kenneth More dramatic adaptation "Sink the Bismarck!" (1960). He also appeared in the Stephen Boyd drama "Assignment K" (1968), "Baby Sitter - Un maledetto pasticcio" (1975) with Maria Schneider and the Romy Schnieder romance "Une Femme A Sa Fentre" (1976). More recently, Mohner acted in "The Last Gun" (2011).
