Biography
Long time character actor Andy Milder didn't develop an interest in acting until after attending the University of California at Berkeley. Milder majored in economics at Berkeley, and would later attend the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco to pursue a career in entertainment. Milder began guest starring in television series during the early 1990s, with appearances on series like the coming of age classic "The Wonder Years," the family comedy "Empty Nest," and the crass sitcom"Married with Children," before landing a more significant role in the drama film "Apollo 13." Milder's breakthrough came in 1997 with a starring part in the short-lived yet critically acclaimed drama "Fame L.A.." Although Milder's role was recognized by critics, he was not able to parlay his recognition into more starring roles in the early 2000s, when he continued to appear in smaller guest roles in films and television series along with lending his voice to a couple of "Star Trek" video games. Milder would enjoy commercial and critical success in 2005, however, in the role of attorney Dean Hodes on Showtime's hit series "Weeds." Milder would land larger roles in films after the success of "Weeds" with appearances in the policital drama "Frost/Nixon" and the action blockbuster "Transformers" as well as a regular voice role in the animated action series "Legion of Super Heroes" and "Batman: The Brave and the Bold."
