Biography
Pat Metheny brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Earlier work from Metheny complimented the scores of such film dramas as "Under Fire" (1983) starring Nick Nolte and the Timothy Hutton film "The Falcon and the Snowman" (1985). Metheny's music was featured in the soundtracks of such films as the drama "Twice in A Lifetime" (1985) with Gene Hackman and "Arachnophobia" (1990). His music also appeared in the Gene Hackman drama "Twice in A Lifetime" (1985) and "Arachnophobia" (1990) with Jeff Daniels. He wrote music for big screen flicks like "Gentle Into the Night" (1997) and the Francesc Colomer drama "Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed" (2014). Metheny's music was most recently featured in the Reese Witherspoon dramatic adaptation "Wild" (2014). In addition to his music, Metheny also appeared on-screen in "Bruce Hornsby and Friends: An "In the Spotlight" Special" (PBS, 1995-96).
