Biography
John Mendoza was an accomplished actor, noted for his comedic timing in his roles for television shows. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "London Underground" (Comedy Central, 1990-93). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Young Comedians All-Star Reunion" (1986-87), "An Evening of Comedy With Jimmie Walker and Friends" (Showtime, 1987-88) and "A Pair of Jokers: John Mendoza & Pam Matteson" (Showtime, 1990-91). He also appeared in "John Mendoza: Over Easy" (Showtime, 1991-92). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Latin Nights: An All-Star Celebration" (ABC, 1994-95) and "The Real Deal" (Comedy Central, 1994-95). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Second Half" (NBC, 1993-94). He continued to work in television through the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing on "Rude Awakening" (1998-2001), "Grown Ups" (UPN, 1998-99) and "Jesse" (1998-2000). He also appeared in "Yes, Dear" (CBS, 2000-06) and "The Trouble With Normal" (ABC, 2000-01). Mendoza most recently acted on "Hidden Howie: The Private Life of a Public Nuisance" (NBC, 2004-05).
