Biography
Elaine Paige was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She had a part on the television special "A Salute to Broadway: Showstoppers" (PBS, 1987-88). She also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in "Adventures of a Plumber's Mate" (1978). Paige also contributed music to the Gregory Peck drama "The Boys From Brazil" (1978). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "A Broadway Christmas" (1990-91), "The Andrew Lloyd Webber Story" (1991-92) and "Hey, Mr. Producer! The Musical World of Cameron Mackintosh" (PBS, 1997-98). She also appeared in "Andrew Lloyd Webber 50th Birthday Celebration" (1998-99), "Cats" (PBS, 1998-99) and "Miss Marple: A Murder is Announced" (PBS, 2004-05). Paige most recently acted in the thrilling adaptation "A Closed Book" (2010) with Tom Conti.
