He had an early role on the television special "Mitzi and a Hundred Guys" (CBS, 1974-75). He also appeared in the TV movie "Christmas Miracle in Caufield, U.S.A." (NBC, 1977-78). McKrell began his entertainment career acting in films like "Annie Hall" (1977) with Woody Allen. Several more television roles followed in the seventies, including stints on "Dallas" (CBS, 1977-1991). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "All God's Children" (ABC, 1979-1980). He also appeared in the TV special "It Isn't Easy Being a Teenage Millionaire" (ABC, 1977-78). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Dallas" (CBS, 1977-1991). More recently, he earned a role in the action picture "Semi-Tough" (1977) with Burt Reynolds.
