O'Donnell started her career producing films, including the comedy "Living on Tokyo Time" (1987) with Minako Ohashi. O'Donnell also appeared in "Czeslaw Milosz: The Poet Remembers" (PBS, 1989-1990). Later in her career, O'Donnell appeared on the Robert Crumb documentary "Crumb" (1995). O'Donnell was married to Lawrence Wilkinson and had one child. O'Donnell passed away in April 1996 at the age of 43.
