Owen McGiveney was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McGiveney began his career with roles in "Pat and Mike" (1952) with Spencer Tracy, the Richard Carlson thrilling mystery "The Maze" (1953) and "Brigadoon" (1954) with Gene Kelly. McGiveney next focused his career on film, appearing in the adventure "The King's Thief" (1955) with Ann Blyth, "Les Girls" (1957) with Gene Kelly and the dramatic adaptation "Raintree County" (1957) with Montgomery Clift. He also appeared in the James Garner spy picture "36 Hours" (1964). Later in his career, McGiveney acted in the Audrey Hepburn adaptation "My Fair Lady" (1964). McGiveney passed away in July 1967 at the age of 83.
