Jeff McCarthy was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. At the start of his acting career, McCarthy appeared on television comedies like "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993) and "Doogie Howser, M.D." (ABC, 1989-1993). In the early stages of his Hollywood career, McCarthy held acting roles in films like the action flick "Robocop 2" (1990) with Peter Weller. He also starred in the TV movies "Miracle Landing" (CBS, 1989-1990) and "Crash: The Mystery of Flight 1501" (NBC, 1990-91). He then appeared in the sci-fi flick "Eve of Destruction" (1991) with Gregory Hines, "Rapid Fire" (1992) and "Cliffhanger" (1993). He shifted from film to television work through the early 2000s and the 2010s, appearing on "Love Monkey" (2006), "Elementary" (CBS, 2012-) and "Madam Secretary" (CBS, 2014-). McCarthy most recently produced "10 Things" (truTV, 2016).
