Biography
Cyril Neville brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "A Reggae Session" (Cinemax, 1987-88) and "The Neville Brothers: Tell It Like It Is" (Cinemax, 1988-89). He also landed roles in various films, such as the romantic fantasy "Tune in Tomorrow..." (1990) with Barbara Hershey. Neville also contributed music to the drama "Hearts of Fire" (1990) with Bob Dylan. In the nineties, Neville devoted his time to various credits, such as "Philadelphia" (1993) starring Tom Hanks, "Aaron Neville's Christmas in New Orleans" (Family Channel Studios, 1994-95) and "Jacksonville Jazz XV" (PBS, 1994-95). He also worked on "Get on the Bus" with Richard Belzer (1996). Neville's music was also featured in the Jesse Borrego drama "Follow Me Home" (1997), "Maangamizi - The Ancient One" (2001) and the Eminem box office smash musical drama "8 Mile" (2002). Neville most recently worked on "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways" (HBO, 2014).
