He also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in the Krystyna Janda biopic drama "Rossinis Pasticcio" (1989). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "The Philadelphia Orchestra and Riccardo Muti Live" (1989-1990), "Live From the Philadelphia Orchestra: A Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr." (1990-91) and "Live From the Philadelphia Orchestra With Riccardo Muti" (1991-92). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Maestros of Philadelphia" (1993-94), "From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 1997" (PBS, 1996-97) and "From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 2000" (PBS, 1999-2000). Most recently, Muti worked on the Daniel Day-Lewis blockbuster dramatic adaptation "Lincoln" (2012).
