Biography
Biography
Longtime character actress Stephanie Niznik began her acting career in 1994 by landing a small role in Gary Marshall's comedy "Exit to Eden" and continued to appear on television series through the 1990s, earning guest spots on the long running mystery series "Murder, She Wrote," family drama "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," and the sci fi cult hit "Sliders." Her small roles on television led her to larger parts like playing Perim in the film "Star Trek: Insurrection" in 1998. The part earned Niznik more recognition as a reliable character actress and resulted in more opportunities to star in works like the made-for-TV movie "Epoch" and her most notable role, as Nina Feeney on the critically acclaimed drama series "Everwood." Niznik played Nina from 2002 to 2006 and was able to parlay her success on the program into larger, more mainstream roles on "Grey's Anatomy," "Lost," and "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service." Not satisfied with relying solely on her successful career as a film and television actress, Niznik eventually received her Master of Fine Arts from Duke University.
