Biography
Allan Murray was an accomplished actor, noted for his comedic timing in his roles for television shows. His acting career began with roles in the series "In Living Color" (1989-1994), "Ellen" (1993-98) and "Newsradio" (NBC, 1994-99). He also appeared in "Caroline in the City" (NBC, 1995-99). He had an early role on the television special "The Changing of the Guard -- A Pre-Inaugural Special" (PBS, 1992-93). He continued his comedic performances throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing on"DiResta" (UPN, 1998-99), "Still Standing" (CBS, 2002-06) and "Drake and Josh" (Nickelodeon, 2003-07). He also appeared in "Rock Me Baby" (UPN, 2003-04) and "Talkshow With Spike Feresten" (Fox, 2006-09). In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Gary Unmarried" (2008-2010), "Rita Rocks" (Lifetime, 2008-2010) and "True Jackson, VP" (Nickelodeon, 2008-2011). He also appeared in "Retired at 35" (TV Land, 2010-12) and "The Exes" (TV Land, 2011-15). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Trapped in Paris" (Nickelodeon, 2009-2010). Most recently, Murray acted on "Whitney" (NBC, 2011-13).
