Biography
Eddy Mitchell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Mitchell's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the comedy "L' Hotel de la plage" (1978) with Jean-Paul Muel, the Philippe Noiret comedic drama "Coup de Torchon" (1981) and "Ronde de Nuit" (1983). He also appeared in "A Mort l'Arbitre" (1983) and "Frankenstein 90" (1984). Mitchell also contributed music to the Nathalie Baye drama "A Week's Vacation" (1980). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in "I Love You" (1986), the drama "Round Midnight" (1986) with Dexter Gordon and "Un Pere et passe" (1989). He also appeared in the comedy "La Totale!" (1991) with Thierry Lhermitte. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Julien Courbey foreign "Big City" (2007), the Didier Bourdon dramedy "Bambou" (2009) and "L' Oncle Charles" (2012). Mitchell also contributed music to the dramatic comedy "Same Old Song" (1999) with Pierre Arditi and the Philippe Torreton drama "It All Starts Today" (2000). Most recently, Mitchell acted in the dramedy "Salaud, on t'aime." (2014) with Johnny Hallyday.
