Biography
Melanie Paxson was an accomplished actress, noted for her comedic timing in her roles for television shows. Paxson's early acting career was mostly founded on her roles in various television comedies, such as "Cupid" (ABC, 1998-99) and "Kristin" (NBC, 2000-01). She also landed a few movie roles at the time, appearing in "Ready to Rumble" (2000) and the comedy "Slackers" (2002) with Devon Sawa. She continued her comedic performances throughout the early 2000s, appearing on"Happy Family" (NBC, 2003-04) and "Quintuplets" (Fox, 2004-05). Her career progressed to film, including a role in "The Opera Lover" (2002). She also lent her voice to "American Dad" (2004-). More recently, she tackled roles on "Surviving Suburbia" (2008-09), "Cougar Town" (2009-2015) and "Last Man Standing" (ABC, 2011-). She also appeared in "Masters of Sex" (Showtime, 2013-). She also appeared in the period drama "Saving Mr. Banks" (2013) with Emma Thompson. Most recently, Paxson appeared in "Descendants" (Disney, 2014-15).
