McLarty marked his early career with roles in "Stephen King's The Tommyknockers" (1992-93), "The Sound and the Silence" (1992-93) and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" (1994-2000). Later, he acted in the comedy "The Frighteners" (1996) with Michael J. Fox, "Raising Waylon" (CBS, 2003-04) and the Naomi Watts smash hit action picture "King Kong" (2005). More recently, McLarty acted in the horror feature "Evil Dead" (2013) with Jane Levy.
