He also contributed to "Soul Train Christmas Starfest" "The 14th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards" and "The 2001 Essence Awards" (Fox, 2000-01). In the early 2000s, McClurkin devoted his time to various credits, such as "The 32nd Annual Dove Awards" "2002 Celebration of Gospel" (BET, 2001-02) and "An Evening of Stars: A Celebration of Educational Excellence Benefiting the United Negro College Fund" (2001-02). He also worked on "The 17th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards" (2001-02).
