Tristin Mays was an American actress born on June 10, 1990. Mays grew up in New York City after being born in New Orleans, and got her start as a child model, appearing in national commercials for products like ROSS and McDonald's. She made her television acting debut in a TV movie entitled "Harambee!" (1996), and joined the cast of children's program "Gullah Gullah Island" (Nick Jr., 1994-1998) in 1997. That same year, she joined the cast of the Lion King musical on Broadway as Young Nala. Mays appeared in three episodes in as many years on J.J. Abrams' "Alias" (ABC, 2001-2006) from 2001 to 2004. She then appeared in an episode of "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide" (Nickelodeon, 2004-2007) in 2006 and "Everybody Hates Chris" (The CW, 2005-2009)) in 2008, before appearing in a string of Nickelodeon sitcoms like "True Jackson, VP" (Nickelodeon, 2008-2011), "Big Time Rush" (Nickelodeon, 2009-2013) and "Victorious" (Nickelodeon, 2010-2013). Mays made her feature film debut in "Thunderstruck" (2012), which starred basketball player Kevin Durant, and made a brief appearance in "The Wedding Ringer" (2015). In 2015, Mays landed recurring roles on both "Supergirl" (The CW, 2015- ) and "The Vampire Diaries (The CW, 2009-17), and joined the main cast of the "MacGyver" (CBS, 2016- ) reboot in 2016. Mays started her own fashion product line at her mother's suggestion, naming it "Trizzio" after her family nickname.
