Biography
Television executive who worked with Brandon Tartikoff on such NBC shows as "The A-Team," "Knight Rider" and "Miami Vice" before joining MCA in 1978. During McCluggage's reign as president of Universal Television, its primetime division produced such shows as "Coach," "Major Dad" and "Northern Exposure." He left Universal in 1991 to rejoin Brandon Tartikoff as president of Paramount's television group overseeing all aspects of network, international and syndicated TV operations as well as the company's independent stations, a cable production group and Paramount's investments in the USA Network and Zenith Productions of Britain. Among the popular shows which McCluggage has managed have been "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "The Arsenio Hall Show."
