Biography
Jules Massenet worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Massenet worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Evening at Pops (07/23/88)" (PBS, 1987-88), "Fitzcarraldo" with Klaus Kinski (1982) and "Luciano Pavarotti Recital" (PBS, 1977-78). He also contributed to "New York Philharmonic New Year's Gala Concert" (PBS, 1987-88), "Sarah" (1988) and "Werther" with Eusebio Poncela (1986). In the eighties and the nineties, Massenet devoted his time to various credits, such as "Flicka and Friends: From Rossini to "Show Boat"" (PBS, 1989-1990), "The Musical Legacy of Roland Hayes" (PBS, 1989-1990) and "Pavarotti in the Park" (PBS, 1990-91). He also worked on "The Accompanist" (1993) and "Tibor Rudas Presents Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti with Mehta: The Three Tenors in Concert 1994" (PBS, 1993-94). Massenet had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties and the early 2000s, including "An Evening With Kathleen Battle and Thomas Hampson" (PBS, 1994-95), "Angie" (1994) starring Geena Davis and "Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti With Levine: The Three Tenors in Concert 1996" (PBS, 1996-97). His credits also expanded to "The Sandy Bottom Orchestra" (Showtime, 1999-2000) and "The Washington Opera Presents "Le Cid"" (PBS, 2000-01). Most recently, Massenet worked on "Manon" (2009).
