Biography

Allan Malamud's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Malamud began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the dramatic biopic "Raging Bull" (1980) with Robert De Niro, "Fever Pitch" (1985) with Ryan O'Neal and "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" (1986). He also appeared in the TV movie "Ring of Passion" (NBC, 1977-78). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in the dramatic sports film "Talent for the Game" (1991) with Edward James Olmos and the dramatic comedy "White Men Can't Jump" (1992) with Wesley Snipes. He also appeared in the TV special "Fair Game" (NBC, 1988-89). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the action flick "Blue Chips" (1994) with Nick Nolte, the dramatic adaptation "Cobb" (1994) with Tommy Lee Jones and the Kevin Costner sports drama "Tin Cup" (1996). Most recently, Malamud worked on the comedic drama "Play It to the Bone" (1999) with Antonio Banderas.
