McCormack started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in "Song O' My Heart" (1930), the Annabella romance "Wings of the Morning" (1937) and "Suburbia" (1983). McCormack also contributed music to the action film "Harlem Nights" (1989) with Eddie Murphy. In the nineties, McCormack devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Execution Protocol" (1993) starring Mitch Wood, "That's Entertainment! III" (1994) and "Mad Dog Time" with Richard Dreyfuss (1996). McCormack's music was also featured in "Mal" (2000), "When Brendan Met Trudy" (2001) and the Katie Holmes thrilling adaptation "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (2011). His music was also featured in the dramatic adaptation "War Horse" (2011) with Jeremy Irvine. McCormack's music was most recently featured in "Testament of Youth" (2015) with Alicia Vikander.
