Biography

After beginning her career in TV with Norman Lear at Embassy Communications, McConnell was responsible for comedy series development at Columbia Pictures, where she oversaw the creation and production of "Who's the Boss?", "Married...With Children", "227" and "Parker Lewis Can't Lose". She later served as president of the short-lived Triangle Entertainment in partnership with the "Cheers" producing team of Les and Glen Charles and James Burrows. When the company broke up in 1992 McConnell took on a senior executive position with Warner Brothers Television.
