Biography

Matt Maiellaro started as a second assistant director on small feature films before he joined the comedy team at The Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. A quadruple talent, Maiellaro is a writer, producer, director, and actor, with a particular brand of surreal humor. His start as a voice actor came in 2001 as Mr. Tickles on "The Brak Show," before he voiced Frylock in Michael Lazzo's "Space Ghost Coast to Coast," which he produced from 1998 to 2001. With his creative partner, Dave Willis, Maiellaro has written and voiced episodes of several other animated series including "Perfect Hair Forever," "Squidbillies," and "12 oz. Mouse." Maiellaro and Willis created the "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" cult spinoff, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," their most successful venture. Maiellaro acted in, wrote, produced, and directed various episodes of the show before he turned it into a feature film in 2007. In addition to their television work, Maiellaro and Davis have collaborated on a number of indie films, including "A Day Off."
