Biography
Thomas Lowell was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Lowell kickstarted his acting career in comedies like "Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation" (1962). He kept working in film throughout the sixties, starring in the dramatic adaptation "The Carpetbaggers" (1964) with George Peppard, the comedic adaptation "That Darn Cat" (1965) with Hayley Mills and the comedy "The Gnome-Mobile" (1967) with Walter Brennan. He also appeared in the TV special "Kilroy" (NBC, 1964-65). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedy "The Boatniks" (1970) with Robert Morse and the Roddy McDowall action picture "Escape From the Planet of the Apes" (1971). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Aliens Are Coming" (NBC, 1979-1980). Lowell more recently appeared in "Attack on Fear" (CBS, 1984-85).
