Biography
Born in Los Angeles in 1976, Aaron Lohr majored in theater at UCLA. As a child, Lohr played the dancing boy in the video for Deniece Williams' 1984 hit "Let's Hear it for the Boy" from the soundtrack to "Footloose" (1984). He played Mush in the cult movie "Newsies" (1992), and Dean in Disney's "The Mighty Ducks" (1994). He appeared in a number of other movies during the 1990s, including "Trojan War" (1997), "A Goofy Movie" (1995), and the sequel "D3: The Mighty Ducks" (1996). He played Steve in the movie adaptation of "Rent" (2005), where he worked alongside actress Idina Menzel, whom he married in 2017. Aside from his film career Lohr focused his attention on working in theater in New York City, and appeared in a number of performances staged by The Public Theater.
