Biography
A frequent collaborator of TV producer David E. Kelley, Mike Listo has directed and executive produced such shows as "Boston Legal" and "Ally McBeal." From 1997 to 2000 Listo served as producer on the award-winning "Ally McBeal," which focused on the eccentric employees of the fictional Boston law firm Cage and Fish. After the show ended in 2000, Listo followed Kelley to work on "Boston Public," where he directed and produced over 30 episodes of the critically acclaimed series that followed the lives of a group of Boston high school teachers. From 2004 to 2008 he directed and produced the quirky legal drama "Boston Legal," a spin-off of the popular series "The Practice" that focused on the complex relationship between James Spader and William Shatner's eccentric lawyers. Listo, who also produced the short-lived series "Ally," has since directed episodes of such shows as "Monk," "Mercy," and the 2009 update of "90210."
