As the great-great-great grandson of iconic writer Charles Dickens, it is only fitting that young British actor Harry Lloyd's first screen role came in the 1999 made-for-TV Dickens adaptation "David Copperfield," starring a pre-Potter Daniel Radcliffe. After graduating from the prestigious Eton College, he attended Oxford, where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society and was cast in productions of "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors," all the while making his ancestor proud by studying English. Following brief appearances and multiple-episode stints on several British programs including "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" and "Vital Signs," Lloyd popped up on two episodes of the wildly successful sci-fi series "Doctor Who" during the 2007 season as a student who falls victim to mind control by devious extraterrestrials. Alongside meaty parts in the smash hit series "Great Expectations" and "Game of Thrones," he dabbled in feature films with supporting roles in Cary Fukunaga's elegant 2011 adaptation of "Jane Eyre" and the Meryl Streep-starring biopic "The Iron Lady."
