Biography
Carl Lewis was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "16 Days of Glory" (Disney, 1986-87) and "Coca-Cola Presents the U.S. Olympic Trials: Heart and Seoul" (ABC, 1987-88). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Perfect Strangers" (ABC, 1985-1993). He also appeared in the TV special "The Ultimate Athlete: Pushing the Limit" (1995-96). Following that project, Lewis worked on mostly television programs, including "The Paula Poundstone Show" (1991-94) and "Arli$" (HBO, 1996-2003). In more recent years, Lewis had roles in the Henry Winkler documentary "The Journey" (2001), the comedy "Material Girls" (2006) with Hilary Duff and the Mark 'Smelly' Bell documentary "Bigger, Stronger, Faster*" (2008). Most recently, Lewis acted in "Pastor Brown" (2013) with Salli Richardson-Whitfield.
