2005

Traveled in an RV with three friends for three months after graduating from college to make his first documentary, "Our Time."

2007

Was hired to work on the HBO documentary series "The Alzheimer's Project" after executives at the network saw his short "Overcoming the Storm" about the effects of Hurricane Katrina.

2012

Produced, directed, and shot the acclaimed documentary "Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare."

2015

Traveled into the heart of the Mexican drug wars to shoot and direct the documentary "Cartel," about vigilante groups and their roles in the nation's violent underworld.

2017

Helmed the ISIS-themed documentary "City of Ghosts"

2018

Made feature directing debut with "A Private War"
