Biography

One of Canada's most prolific actors, Claude Legault consistently delivered memorable performances in countless serials, sitcoms and dramatic projects. Born on May 26, 1963 in Montreal, Québec, Canada, Legault launched his acting career with appearances on serials like "La petite vie" (Société Radio-Canada,1993-99) and "Mission Zed" (Canal Z, 2001). He cowrote and starred on the sci-fi parody "Dans une galaxie près de chez vous" (Canal Famille, 1999-2001), as a radar operator who possesses heightened senses; he reprised this role in the film version "Dans une galaxie près de chez vous - Le film" (2004). He delivered the laughs regularly on the small screen on the comedy series "Minuit, le soir" (Société Radio-Canada, 2005-07), as well as on the big screen in films such as "Les 3 p'tits cochons" (2007), as one of two brothers who discuss the merits of adultery as their comatose mother lies in her hospital bed, "Filière 13" (2010), and in "Y'en aura pas de facile" (2010). While comedy was his forte, Legault also showed range in dramas like "Pour toujours, les Canadiens!" (2009) and "La cite" (2010), as well as in the thriller "Seven Days" (2010), as a surgeon who exacts revenge and tortures a criminal who killed his young daughter. Legault returned to TV as a regular on the drama series "19-2" (Société Radio-Canada, 2011). In 2012, he co-starred opposite Guy A. Lepage in the comedy "L'Empire Bo$$é," playing an unscrupulous businessman who rose from poverty to become one of the world's richest men.
